Ashdown forest 21st june 2014
Arrived at Gills lap car park and it was fall and overflowing every one was looking into the distance got scope and went to corner and asked were it was chap put my scope on the short toed eagle in a tree had a good look and moved down road for closer view by this time it had moved again found it much closer and better view then it flew a bit further to a dead tree great views until the local magpies tried pulling its tail feathers out off it flew again time for some hunting spent next hour flying around i missed in catching a snake and eating it on the wing.Next to old lodge nature reserve Spotted flycatcher lots of redstarts with young 2 nice males.Tree pipits calling and dropping from tree woodlarks and lots of stonechats.
